A Veteran Dedicated to Service and Education
Hector M. Rodriguez is a multifaceted individual with a strong commitment to service and education. As an Army Veteran, he served on active duty from 1977 to 1980 and continued his service in the reserves until 1984.
His interests and expertise lie in supporting veterans, small business owners and any community in need with educational and financial empowerment. Recognizing the challenges veterans face, Hector started the Veteran Education Foundation with a group of friends who share his the vision of SERVING THOSE WHO SERVED OUR NATION.


Hector is active in his community, serving as a Board Member of the Family Centered Educational Agency and Board President of Acción Christiana.
Hector's professional journey has been deeply rooted in education. He is the Owner and Director of the Academy of Creative Thinking Preschool in Chicago's Portage Park neighborhood, where he is dedicated to fostering an innovative and nurturing environment for young learners. His career in education has included positions as Principal of Aspira Haugan Middle School, Assistant Principal at Truman Middle College High School, and Deputy City Treasurer of Economic Development of the City of Chicago.
Hector holds a B.A. from Indiana University and an M.Ed. from DePaul University, and has completed coursework towards an Ed.D. at Northern Illinois University.
